Finally I am putting procrastination off until a bit later and launching my preferred career! I have spent the last 5 years having so much fun learning and growing and changing into someone I quite like and am comfortable with, and that’s a nice place to be.
For all my life I’ve believed I need to have studied something and have a certificate in it to prove my ability and my worth and so I’ve pursued so many different interests that my wall is getting full. I am a Reiki Master, I have accreditation in Mindscape and Beyond Right Brain, Natures Language, Body Talk Access, Intuitive Fascia Release and am also an International PKP Kinesiology Practitioner. Yet still I felt I had to learn more, before I could truly be of use to the world.
But in a particularly pertinent session on myself I realised that my life profession to date in the Accounting world was built soley on experience having been mentored into the position by chance. My law degree which still holds centre stage on the wall is merely a reminder to me of what I can achieve if I set my mind to it but further than that it plays no role in my life.
All the certificates in the world mean nothing unless you share what you’ve learnt with the world.
So now I have decided that I’m not going to be defined by any one document or label and have bestowed upon myself the title of Happy Life Mechanic. I have so many tools in my toolbelt (and I have the certificates and oh so many practice hours to prove it) and would dearly love to get to work under your hood!
I am passionate about 3 things in particular, the three Sss:
· Stories in your head
· Subconscious sabotages
· Self talk
Do you ever wonder where thoughts come from .. those ones swirling around your head all day and usually all night too . . how did they get there? And why can’t we stop them! Did you know that your brain, as clever as it is, doesn’t know the difference between reality and fantasy? If you think of a delicious hot, flame grilled burger (now all those bunny huggers don’t get offended, it can be a vegetarian patty) with slap chips perfectly dressed in salt and vinegar, do you find yourself salivating? Well in reality, you don’t have that burger, but your brain has responded as if fantasy was reality.
In exactly the same way, those stories in our head, our negative self talk and sabotages have a physical effect in our body producing chemicals and chain reactions that are not appropriate to our reality. If we don’t do anything to correct them, we end up with physical manifestations of the unease our thoughts feed us.
So before your knees give in and your brain gives out come find out the underlying messages your body is trying to communicate to you.
